Discovered hard evidence of a conspiracy against the former Tory, conducted by
The Guardian, Fayed, and Fayed's employees, and certain of their respective lawyers, as part of a cover-up. Turned down an offer from ITN to report for 5 News until after investigation completed.
In September 1997 was selected by the NW Royal Television Society as Granada's representative for Best News Reporter of the Year, for a series of four news reports broadcast in December 1996, entitled 'The Forgotten People of Openshaw.'
In October 1998, after some eighteen months' investigation, launched first book in the Palace of Westminster, London, entitled: 'Trial by Conspiracy: The lies, cover-ups and injustices of the Neil Hamilton affair.' The book examines and discusses the evidence unearthed during our investigation into the 'cash for questions' affair.

In June 2000 submitted a comprehensive complaint against Granada TV to the Independent Television Commission - Britain's TV regulator, citing Granada's unlawful political censorship of his & Keith-Hill's investigation. In March 2001 announced decision to stand in the forthcoming General election in Neil Hamilton's former Tatton constituency as an independent candidate, on a platform to raise awareness among the electorate of
The Guardian's cover-up which led to the destruction of their former MP.
In October 2001, following the ITC's whitewash of complaint against Granada, submitted papers to the High Court in London applying for permission to seek a Judicial Review of the ITC's decision.
In January 2002, at the High Court in London, successfully defeated the argument proffered by the ITC's barrister, and won permission to take the ITC to court.
In April 2002 launched new website featuring the High Court action:
